Programmes
Little Learners Programme (Ages 4-7)
Designed for youngsters K - 2, our popular Leeds Little Learners programme continues on through the summer. Students come together and learn to read with confidence using our highly successful phonetic approach. They experience success and develop skills that will give them the edge in the early grades. Benefits gained by our graduates are amazing. Parents have stated that their children do better at school, have higher self-esteem, and are more enthusiastic about reading and learning. Leeds Little Learners is also available on an individual basis.
Literacy and Numeracy
Children, adolescents, and adults are taught reading, reading comprehension, writing, spelling and mathematics using unique proven teaching methodologies. The focus is on building mastery of taught skills.
Summer Session Academic Clinics
Reading, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, and math programmes are available to all grades. Students may attend weekly sessions offered in July or August. The most gain is made when students attend 4 week sessions. Parents can choose from 1, 1.5, or 2 hour sessions.
Summer Day Camp
This is a dynamic weekly themed day camp designed for ages 6-11. Small groups work collaboratively developing communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills. This camp is both fun and educational with hands on and visual activities used to review and introduce curriculum material. Interesting themes, games, and events make learning fun! All camps are delivered by energetic, experienced adult instructors. All camps are limited to eight participants to ensure quality, safety and attention. Please see our “Summer’s Cool” section for themes, dates and prices.
March Break and PA Day Programmes
Similar to our Summer’s Cool programme, we use a variety of activities and games to bring to life popular books, movies, and more. Our activities are typically science and language arts based and focus on hands on activities and experiments that appeal to all students. During our March Break camp we break the day down into five units: language arts, science, art, ancient history, and geography. For example during art class we do biographical research on particular painters, examine their style, and try to recreate our own versions of their work!
Study Skills
Students develop organizational and time management skills as well as a variety of other important study skills. The intermediate version helps students make the transition to grade nine. The senior version provides students with more complex skills that will ensure success at the college and/or university level.
Write Away
Students in grade 8-12 improve written communication. In the intermediate version, students focus on paragraph and essay writing, and grammar and spelling. Senior students focus on writing longer, formal essays, constructing bibliographies, researching and recognizing and author’s style and craft.

This course is designed for students who are in need of math review before moving into the next grade. Small groups of students work with the instructor on course-specific material in 2 hour sessions daily for two weeks in August. Registration runs from June 1st until July 24th. For these courses to run, a minimum number of students will be required.
